Website as a Service (WaaS) means you get a professionally designed, hosted and looked-after website for a monthly fee, instead of paying for the whole build upfront.
Most “rent a website” deals keep you paying for as long as you want the site, and you never own it. Ours is rent-to-own: 6 monthly payments and it's yours, with no interest and no premium for paying monthly.

If a payment is missed
Payments are made by EFT, due on one fixed date each month. If a payment hasn't reflected, this is exactly what happens, counted from the due date.The website remains the property of DukePaw Studio until it's paid in full.

What is Website as a Service (WaaS)?
Website as a Service means you get a professionally built, hosted and looked-after website for a monthly fee instead of one large upfront payment. With DukePaw it's rent-to-own: you pay R1,500 to start and R1,000 a month for 6 months, and then the website is yours.
How is this different from renting a website?
With most website rental deals you pay every month for as long as you want the site, and you never own it. Ours is rent-to-own: after month 7 the design and code are handed over to you. Your domain and business email are in your name from day one.
How much does it cost in total?
R7,500 for the build: R1,500 in month 1, then 6 monthly payments of R1,000. That's exactly the same as paying upfront. After that, optional Ongoing Care is R350 a month.
Is there interest or a premium for paying monthly?
No. There is no interest and no premium. You pay R7,500 whether you pay monthly or upfront.
Do I own my domain and business email?
Yes, always. Your domain is registered in your name from day one; we're only listed as the technical contact. Your logo, photos and text are always yours too.
Can I pay it off early?
Yes, any time. Settle the remaining balance and the website is yours immediately.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Payments are made by EFT on a fixed date each month. If a payment hasn't reflected by day 3 after the due date, you get a written notice with the amount due. On day 7 the website is paused; your email keeps working. On day 14 your email stops and all services go on hold. On day 30 the agreement ends: the website remains the property of DukePaw Studio, and you receive an export of your email and the code to transfer your domain. Pay what's owed any time before day 30 and everything is switched back on.
What happens after month 7?
The website is yours. You can keep it hosted, secure and looked after with Ongoing Care at R350 a month, or take the files and host it anywhere you like.
Can I cancel during the plan?
Yes, with reasonable notice. You can settle the remaining balance and keep the website, or walk away without it. Either way, your domain and email stay yours.
Can I pay upfront instead?
Yes: R7,500 once-off, and we include your first 6 months of hosting and business email. Paying monthly is never cheaper than paying cash.
How long does it take to go live?
About a week once we have your content: logo, a handful of photos, your services, contact details and trading hours. You get one review round before launch.
Is this cheaper than Wix or a DIY website builder?
A DIY builder is cheap in rand but costs your evenings, and you're on your own. This is done for you by a local developer you can phone, it's built properly for Google and phones, and you own it at the end.
